The spring and summer seasons are the perfect time to celebrate a wedding and that is why the season is bursting with blushing brides. Today I just want to fill my head with some Spring Wedding delight and I shall do just that:
Spring time provides an abundance of flowers in season. Tulips, irises, daffodils, crocuses and hyacinths are the most popular springtime blooms. Summer brings in calla lilies, dendrobium orchids, dahlias, daisies and chrysanthemums. By choosing in-season flowers, you’ll be saving money and will find them with ease! Don’t forget to add tall bear grass, grape leaves, or eucalyptus foliage to give your arrangements some texture and fullness.
Outdoor venues like gardens, meadows, farm lands and lake settings make for a beautiful natural backdrop for beautiful Spring ceremonies and receptions.
Choosing a “fruit” detail is a popular choice for spring and summer weddings. Strawberries, blueberries, apricots, pineapples, cherries, nectarines, watermelon, and mangoes are great for color, flavor and inspiration. Create a logo with the fruit which can be used on all of your wedding stationery. Use fruity colors to help you choose bridesmaids’ dresses and groomsmen cummerbunds. Combine fruits of the same color in clear glass bowls or vases for a fresh and easy centerpiece, or place a variety in a basket. Grill fruits with meats or fish and infuse nectars in cocktails to carry the fruit theme throughout your menu.
For fruit themed weddings, send guests home with mini jars of preserves or a fruit flavor tea bag. This has become very popular for a Spring fling wedding especially for an outdoor wedding.
Paisley
Polka dot
Gingham
Bold colors are a big hit for Spring & Summer wedding. Choose fresh, vibrant colors that displays your personality. Incorporate playful patterns like paisley, miniature polka dots, gingham, and of course floral, into a wedding gown sash, groomsmen handkerchiefs, bridesmaids’ dresses, or even the ring bearer pillow.
Jewelry trends for the Spring season should be lightweight. Vine, filigree pieces are very popular for the season.
