Did You Know ? There are 45 Million Bubbles in a Bottle of Champagne!

Go out and celebrate the weekend with a spirit or two and while we are on the topic of drinks- lets discuss one of my favorite wedding additions to really customize your day.

A Signature Wedding Cocktail!

The easiest time to incorporate a signature cocktail into your wedding is during the cocktail hour of course. This is the party before the party and it would not be complete without COCKTAILS.  Also, it saves on cocktail hour costs by skipping the full bar and only offering your signature cocktail, plus beer and house wines.

Custom cocktails have become such a popular way to personalize a wedding. They are so much fun to put together as well. Sit down with you partner and think about your favorite drinks. This should not be a chore.... it is a chance to experiment...just get some ingredients with your partner and start playing around, there are much worse ways to spend a Friday night after all! Remember to jointly celebrate your likes and don’t stress out about pleasing anyone in particular. Then just modify it or rename it for your wedding.  If it’s a martini, it could be as simple as adding the suffix “tini” to your last name and viola it is renamed.   If in doubt, ask a mixologist or bartender friend to help you create a specialty cocktail.

Helpful Tips:
  • Consider serving a virgin twist on your specialty cocktail for those guests who don’t drink alcohol.
  • Keep in mind the color scheme of your wedding and the color of the drink.
  • Garnish your cocktail with a flower for a beautiful floral touch to your commemorative cocktail.
  • Once you have a signature drink you can keep the recipe and recreate the moment on every wedding anniversary.
  •  And Have Fun!
