Marching On...

There is nothing like the promise of what a brand new month may hold.  I have mini celebrations for each 1st of the month and I shall continue to do so for all the rest of my days, so Happy March 1st everyone. :)

Now moving on to a wedding related topic.  Wedding Websites...the debate lives on.  Some brides cringe when the mere mention of a wedding website is brought up and that feeling is quite understandable.  Some wedding websites induce nothing but eye rolls and head shakes with all of the over the top egocentric material spewed from the couple. Couples can also save money by directing the guests to the website on their invitations instead of purchasing additional forms to include all of the travel details.  The couple can add a map of where each part of the day will take place on the website, they can also add where they are registered, and they can even start discussions to bring the guests together.  An idea that is quite popular on wedding websites is a specific song requests page or a section that enables guests to find each other on facebook so everyone can mix and mingle before the big day.

Finally the BEST function of a wedding website is that they provide an option for online RSVP's. This always ends up being the easiest way to make sure ALL of your guests respond in the least evasive way.  

At the end of the day your guests do not need an essay sharing all of the teeny tiny details on how the couple met, got engaged, etc.  All they need is the key information so they will be prepared for your special day and it will save the couple from having to repeat the same information over and over again to each individual guest who has questions about the upcoming wedding.  In the long run it saves time, money, and acts as a platform for your guests to interact and bond over your upcoming wedding.
